My partner and I had a one night stay at this establishment and was amazed by number of predators on the premises. We experienced problems with the hot water pressure in the room but the staff at Akwaaba was keen to have it fixed quickly. The room offered comfortable accommodation with air conditioning, satellite TV and access to the pool. The staff at Akwaaba Lodge and our guide Biggie, were set on providing us with memorable experiences and they succeeded. The highlight of our trip was coming here. We met the owner and he is such a humble nice guy. He personally took us on an intimate tour with the animals with the tour guide biggy. It was amazing to pat and play with the cheetah, 2 x mth old lions Apollo and Zeus plus the hyena who is the most beautiful and affectionate animal. They blew me away. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Then to top it off playing with 3 two week old baby white lions was amazing. We could tell that everyone that worked there loved the place and appreciated where they were. Easily the best thing I've done in a long time

We spent our 10th year anniversary at Akwaaba and let me tell you, the staff were exceptional, the rooms were spotless and styled with impeccable taste. What a wonderful time we had there, the interaction with the wild animals was so professionally done. I recommend Akwaaba Lodge to every single person looking to be spoilt for choice. If you are a wild animal lover and understand the importance of these "sanctuaries" that rescue, rear and care for wild animals that would not normally survive in the wild, then you have to visit Akwaaba Lodge - either for a day with the family (braai and pool facilities are available) or for a weekend with your loved one (and the family) or even for a conference. The place is really beautiful and welcoming and the animals are all very well looked after (very healthy indeed), loved and cared for by the most amazing guy, their living environments are perfect and overall, this is a place that deserves support
